Outsourcing maintenance functions
Article 9
1. One or more of the functions referred to in points (b), (c) and (d) of Article 14(3) of Directive (EU) 2016/798, or parts thereof, may be outsourced and the certification body shall be informed thereof. 2. The entity in charge of maintenance shall demonstrate to the certification body how it complies with all the requirements and assessment criteria set out in Annex II with regard to the functions it decided to outsource. 3. The entity in charge of maintenance shall remain responsible for the outcome of the outsourced maintenance activities and shall establish a system to monitor their performance.
