Disease control measures in the event of suspicion of infection with RABV
Article 35
When infection with RABV is suspected, the competent authority shall: (a) conduct further investigations to confirm or rule out the presence of the disease; (b) order relevant movement restrictions or killing of suspected cases to protect humans and animals against the risk of being infected pending the results of the investigations; (c) order any risk mitigating measures justified to reduce the risk of further transmission of RABV to humans or to animals.
