Restocking with livestock following compulsory slaughter for health reasons or because of losses resulting from natural disasters

Article 44

1.   Member States shall ensure that the type of intervention ‘restocking with livestock after compulsory slaughter for health reasons or because of losses resulting from natural disasters’ as referred to in Article 47(2), point (e), of Regulation (EU) 2021/2115, is only implemented when disease control measures have been taken in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/429 of the European Parliament and of the Council  ( 13 ) . 2.   Expenditure for restocking with livestock shall not exceed 20 % of the total expenditure under operational programmes.
