Financial support

Article 3

1.   Financial support for the implementation of the STEP shall be provided from existing Union programmes. 2.   To reinforce the ability to achieve the STEP objectives, an amount of EUR 1 500 000 000 in current prices of the financial envelope referred to in Article 4(1) of Regulation (EU) 2021/697 shall support the implementation of the STEP. That amount shall be implemented in accordance with that Regulation and shall be used with the aim of achieving the STEP objectives.
