Article 1
1. The customs authorities are hereby directed, under Article 14(5) of Regulation (EU) 2016/1036, to take the appropriate steps to register imports into the Union of screws and bolts, whether or not with their nuts and washers, without heads, of iron or steel other than stainless steel, regardless of tensile strength, excluding coach screws and other wood screws, screw hooks and screw rings, self-tapping screws, and screws and bolts for fixing railway track construction material, currently classified under CN codes 7318 15 42 and 7318 15 48 and originating in the People’s Republic of China. 2. Registration shall expire nine months following the date of entry into force of this Regulation.
