For the purposes of this Decision, the following definitions apply: (a) ‘Blue Book Traineeship’ means the European Commission’s official traineeship programme; (b) ‘trainee’ means an individual taking part in the Blue Book Traineeship programme, regardless of the place of assignment; (c) ‘Traineeships Office’ means the entity responsible for the administrative management of the Blue Book Traineeship programme; (d) ‘candidate’ means an individual who has formally applied to the Blue Book Traineeship regardless of their selection status; (e) ‘traineeship offer’ means an offer made by the Commission to conclude a traineeship agreement; (f) ‘traineeship agreement’ means a contract between the Commission and a trainee, setting out the terms and conditions of the traineeship programme, including the trainee’s responsibilities, obligations, and benefits, as well as the Commission’s rights and responsibilities.
