Methodology for calculating the proportion of recycled plastic content in PET bottles
Article 2
1. The proportion of recycled plastic content in PET bottles shall be calculated by dividing the weight of recycled plastic in PET bottles placed on the market of a Member State in a given year by the weight of the plastic in PET bottles placed on the market of that Member State in that year. The resulting ratio shall be expressed as a percentage. 2. The calculations referred to in paragraph 1 shall be performed using the formulas 1-3 set out in Annex I.
