Prohibition of directed fishing for deep-water sharks

Article 41

Directed fishing for the following deep-water sharks in the SEAFO Convention area shall be prohibited: (a) ghost catshark ( Apristurus manis ); (b) blurred smooth lanternshark ( Etmopterus bigelowi ); (c) shorttail lanternshark ( Etmopterus brachyurus ); (d) great lanternshark ( Etmopterus princeps ); (e) smooth lanternshark ( Etmopterus pusillus ); (f) skates ( Rajidae ); (g) velvet dogfish ( Scymnodon squamulosus ); (h) sharks of the Selachimorpha super-order; (i) picked dogfish ( Squalus acanthias ).
