ANNEX II TYPE-APPROVAL 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1. This Annex lays down the general and technical requirements applicable to the emission type-approval of brake systems. 2. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 2.1. Paragraphs 4 and 7 of UN Regulation No 179 shall apply to emission type-approval of brake systems referred to in Article 4(1). 3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1. Paragraph 8 of UN Regulation No 179 shall apply to the technical requirements for the emission type-approval of brake systems. 3.2. The emission type-approval procedure of brake systems shall comply with the requirements set out in the Appendices to this Annex.
