Preamble

AN ACT PROVIDING THAT RESOLUTIONS OF THE PROVINCIAL BOARDS OF SPECIAL PROVINCES MUST OBTAIN THE APPROVAL OF THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR BEFORE TAKING EFFECT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

By authority of the United States, be it enacted by the Philippine Legislature, that:

Section 1

SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that resolutions of the provincial boards of special provinces must obtain the approval of the Secretary of the Interior before the same take effect: Provided, however, That after forty days have elapsed counting from the date on which the copy has been forwarded to the Secretary of the Interior, without any objection having been received from said Secretary of the Interior, such resolutions shall ipso facto be considered as approved.

Section 2

SEC. 2. Hereafter, all special provinces desiring to apply for special financial assistance from the Insular Treasury, shall previously file with the Legislature an estimate of their expenses and income, and set forth in detail the expenditure to be made of said assistance.

Section 3

SEC. 3. All Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Section 4

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
