Section 1
SECTION 1. Any provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the Board of Regents of the University of the Philippines is hereby authorized to grant any increase of salary, compensation or emolument that it may deem necessary to any person in the regular or contract service of the University of the Philippines, subject to the provisions of Act Numbered Twenty-six hundred and seventy-two, as amended by Acts Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eighty-seven and Twenty-nine hundred and thirty-five.
