Preamble

"SEC. 276. Persons entitled to accrued leave.—After at least two years' continuous, faithful, and satisfactory service, the proper head of department shall, subject to the requirements of the public service, grant each regularly and permanently appointed officer or employee in the Philippine Civil Service, except as hereinafter provided, thirty days' accrued leave of absence with full pay, inclusive of Sundays and holidays, for each year of satisfactory service in the Islands, or abroad, if specially detailed."

Section 2

SEC. 2. Section two hundred and eighty-four of the said Act is hereby amended to read as follows: "SEC. 284. Vacation leave in addition to accrued leave.—After at least six months' continuous, faithful, and satisfactory service, the Governor-General or proper head of department may, in his discretion, grant to each officer or employee entitled to accrued leave, in addition to such accrued leave, twelve days' vacation leave of absence with full pay, inclusive of Sundays and holidays, for each calendar year of service."

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval. Approved, December 3, 1927.
