Section 1

SECTION 1. Subsection (b) of section twenty-two hundred and fifty-three of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Revised Administrative Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: "(b) That the monthly salary of any teacher who is to attend and teach in said schools shall not be greater than m thirty pesos. "The superintendent shall appoint a teacher for each school, giving preference to the public school teachers of each municipality, and shall fix the salary in accord with the respective municipal council and subject to the limitation contained in paragraph (b) above. In case he should deem it necessary, the superintendent may also appoint a principal teacher or a supervisor, whose monthly salary, which shall not be greater than fifty pesos, shall likewise be fixed by him, with the approval of the respective municipal council."

Section 2

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval. Approved, November 23, 1929.
