AN ACT AMENDING ACT NUMBERED ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-ONE, ENTITLED "AN ACT EXTENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT ACT TO THE PROVINCE OF LEYTE.

Section 1

SECTION 1. Section four of Act Numbered One hundred and twenty-one, entitled "An Act extending the provisions of the Provincial Government Act to the Province of Leyte," is hereby amended to read as follows:

"SEC. 4. The presidents of the municipalities of the province shall meet on the third Mondays in January and July to consider the improvements needed in the province for the provincial government, and to make recommendations to the provincial board. The convention shall be called together by the provincial secretary and shall elect a chairman for each semiannual session. The provincial secretary shall act as secretary of the convention and shall certify its recommendations to the provincial board."

Section 2

SEC. 2. The public good requiring the speedy enactment of this bill, the passage of the same is hereby expedited in accordance with section two of "An Act prescribing the order of procedure by the Commission in the enactment of laws," passed September twenty-sixth, nineteen hundred.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its passage.
