SECTION. 1. The Placer High School in the Municipality of Placer, Province of Surigao del Norte, is converted into a national high school, to be known as Placer National High School.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE PLACER HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLACER, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL NORTE, INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
SEC. 2. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby directed to take such steps as are necessary for the conversion and operation of the school and immediate implementation of this Act.
SEC. 3. The amount of one hundred thousand pesos for the operation of the school shall be funded out of the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 131 and Batas Pambansa Blg. 230 for the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports intended for new national high schools: Provided, That the local government unit concerned shall continue to provide funding for its share in the cost of maintenance and operation of the school. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
