AN ACT CONVERTING THE LARENA NATIONAL VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LARENA, PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR, INTO A COLLEGE, TO BE KNOWN AS THE LARENA NATIONAL VOCATIONAL COLLEGE.

Section 1

SECTION 1. The Larena National Vocational School in the Municipality of Larena, Province of Siquijor, is hereby converted into a college to be known as the Larena National Vocational College.

Section 2

SEC. 2. In addition to its present secondary and vocational curricular offerings, the college shall offer such collegiate courses as may be authorized by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports.

Section 3

SEC. 3. The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports is hereby directed to take the necessary steps for the immediate implementation of this Act.

Section 4

SEC. 4. The existing appropriations for the Larena National Vocational School are hereby transferred to the Larena National Vocational College, to be disbursed in accordance with the provisions of this Act. Thereafter, the necessary amount required for the operation and maintenance of the college shall be provided for in subsequent General Appropriations Acts, until which time the operation of the institution as a college shall be deferred, provided that its new name shall take effect upon approval of this Act.

Section 5

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
