SECTION 1. The Kidapawan Trade School in the Municipality of Kidapawan, Province of North Cotabato, is converted into a college to be known as the North Cotabato College of Arts and Trades.

AN ACT CONVERTING THE KIDAPAWAN TRADE SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF KIDAPAWAN, PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO, INTO A COLLEGE OF ARTS AND TRADES TO BE KNOWN AS THE NORTH COTABATO COLLEGE OF ARTS AND TRADES.
SEC. 2. The College shall offer four-year agro-industrial secondary education curriculum; post secondary two-year trade technical/technician education courses; four-year college education courses leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Arts; and short-term opportunity courses geared to the skilled manpower needs of its service area.
SEC. 3. The existing appropriations for the Kidapawan Trade School are hereby transferred to the North Cotabato College of Arts and Trades, to be disbursed in accordance with the provisions of this Act. Thereafter, the necessary amount required for the operation and maintenance of the college shall be provided for in subsequent General Appropriations Acts, until which time the operation of the institution as a college shall be deferred provided that its new name shall take effect upon approval of this Act.
SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
