Section 1

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the funds of the Philippine Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five hundred and seventy thousand pesos or such part thereof as may, in the discretion of the President, be necessary for the purchase of additional equipment for the Bureau of Printing to print such textbooks as may be prepared and furnished by the Bureau of Education or manuscripts written by private persons and aquired by purchase or otherwise by the Philippines Government, including the necessary travelling expenses of the Director of Printing and personnel whom the President my designate, upon recommendation of the Secretary of Finace, to purchase the equipment abroad and to study modern methods of printing therein as the President may direct.

Section 2

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, November 12, 1936.
