AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION TWENTY-ONE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE.

SECTION 1. Section twenty-one of the Administrative Code is amended so as to read as follows:

"SEC. 21. Officials authorized to administer oaths.—The following officers have general authority to administer to administer oaths, to wit:

"Notaries public; judges, justice of the peace, and auxiliary justices of the peace; clerks of courts; the Secretary of the National Assembly; bureau directors; registers of deeds; provincial governors and lieutenant-governors; mayors; any other officer in the Philippine service whose appointment is vested in the President of the Philippines, Secretary of War, or President of the United States. A person who by authority of law shall act in the capacity their capacity of any of the officers mentioned above shall possess the same power."

Section 2

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.

Approved, June 2, 1938.
