Preamble

SEC. I. Section twenty-one of the Administrative Code, as amended by Commonwealth Act Numbered Two hundred and seventy, is amended to read as follow: "SEC. 21. Officials authorized to administer oath.- The following officers have general authority to administer oaths, to wit: "Notaries public; justices of the peace, and auxiliary justices o f the peace; clerks of courts, the Secretary of the National Assembly; bureau directors; registers of deeds; provincial governors and lieutenant-governors; city mayors; municipal mayors; municipal district mayors; any other officer in the Philippine service whose appointment is vested in the President of the Philippines, Secretary of War, or President of the United States. A person who by authority of law shall act in the capacity of the officers mentioned above shall possess the sane power."

Section 2

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its Approval. Approved, June 11, 1941
