Section 1

SECTION 1. The Senate shall, within ten days after the approval of this Act, determine by lot who of the elected Senators shall serve for a term of six years, who shall serve for a term of four years, and who shall serve for a term of two years in accordance with Section Three, Article Si, of the Constitution: Provided, That the Senators whose term of office shall cease as a result of the lot, shall hold over until their successors shall have been elected and proclaimed.

Section 2

SEC. 2. Section Nine of Commonwealth Act Numbered Six hundred and sixty-six, and all acts or parts of acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Became a law without the signature of the Executive. Effective, August 13, 1945.
