AMENDING PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NUMBERED SEVENTEEN HUNDRED FORTY BY ADDING A NEW SEC. AFTER SEC. ELEVEN THEREOF

Preamble

I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, in order to effect minor amendments to existing law and to correct certain typographical errors therein, do hereby order and decree the following:

Section 1

SECTION 1. A new section, denominated as Section 12, is hereby added and inserted after Section 11 of Presidential Decree No. 1740 which shall read as follows:

“SEC. 12. Repealing Clause. — All acts, decrees, orders, rules and regulations, or parts thereof, which are contrary to, or inconsistent with this Decree are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.”

Section 2

SEC. 2. Section 12 of the same Decree is renumbered accordingly as Section 13.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Decree shall take effect immediately.

Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of January in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-one.
