AN ACT UPGRADING THE AMAI PAKPAK MEDICAL CENTER IN MARAWI CITY, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1

SECTION 1. The bed capacity of the Amai Pakpak Medical Center in Marawi City, Province of Lanao del Sur is hereby increased from two hundred (200) to four hundred (400) beds.

Section 2

SEC. 2. The existing hospital facilities and professional health care services of the Amai Pakpak Medical Center are hereby upgraded and increased to conform with and be commesurate to the increase in bed capacity. The number of medical personnel shall be correspondingly increased.

Section 3

SEC. 3. The increase in the bed capacity of Amai Pakpak Medical Center shall be implemented incrementally for a period of not more tan two (2) years from the approval of this Act.

Section 4

SEC. 4. The construction and upgraiding of the hospital facilities and services shall be under the direct supervision and control of the Department of Health.

Section 5

SEC. 5. The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Department's programs the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 6

SEC. 6. Republic Act No. 7943 is hereby repealed.

Section 7

SEC. 7. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after itys publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
