AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE BILIRAN PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL IN ITS PROPOSED RELOCATION SITE IN BARANGAY LARRAZABAL, MUNICIPALITY OF NAVAL, PROVINCE OF BILIRAN, FROM SEVENTY-FIVE (75) TO TWO HUNDRED (200) BEDS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1

SECTION 1. The bed capacity of the Biliran Provincial Hospital in its proposed relocation aite in Barangay Larrazabal, Municipality of Naval, Province of Biliran, shall be increased from seventy-five (75) to two hundred (200) beds.

Section 2

SEC. 2. The existing hospital facilities and professional health care services of the Biliran Provincial Hospital are hereby upgraded and increased to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity. The number of medical personnel shall be correspondingly increased.

SEC, 3. The Provincial Government of Biliran shall provide the necessary funds to support the increase in bed capacity of the Biliran Provincial Hospital and the corresponding upgrading of its facilities and services. The Secretary of Health shall include in the Department's program, subsidy support for the capital outlay requirements of the said hospital.

Section 4

SEC. 4. Republic Act No. 7194, entitled "An Act Increasing the Bed Capacity of the Naval General Hospital in the Municipality of Naval, Subprovince of Biliran, Leyte. From Twenty-Five (25) to Fifty (50) Beds, and Appropriating Funds Therefbif and Republic Act No. 3875> entitled "Ad Act Converting Naval Emergency Hospital in the Municipality of Naval, Province of Leyte, Into a General Hospital to be Known as Naval General Hospital, and Authorizing the Appropriation of Funds Therefor" are hereby repealed. All laws, decrees, ordinances, rules and regulations, executive or administrative orders, and other presidential issuances inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.

Section 5

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
