AN ACT UPGRADING THE LABUAN PUBLIC HOSPITAL IN ZAMBOANGA CITY INTO A LEVEL II HOSPITAL TO BE KNOWN AS THE LABUAN GENERAL HOSPITAL, INCREASING ITS BED CAPACITY FOR GENERAL CARE SERVICES TO ONE HUNDRED (100), AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1

SECTION 1. The Labuan Public Hospital located in Zamboanga City is hereby upgraded into a Level II Hospital to be known as the Labuan General Hospital and its authorized bed capacity for general care services increased to one hundred (100).

Section 2

SEC. 2. The existing hospital facilities and professional health care services of the Labuan General Hospital are hereby upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in its bed capacity as provided in Section 1 hereof.

Section 3

SEC. 3. The Department of Health shall, in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Labuan General Hospital, determine the additional staff plantilla positions to be created pursuant to this Act.

Section 4

SEC. 4. The increase in bed capacity of the Labuan General Hospital to one hundred (100) beds for general care services shall be implemented for a period of not more than four (4) years from the approval of this Act.

Section 5

SEC. 5. All laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules and regulations or parts thereof inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

Section 6

SEC. 6. The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Department's programs the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 7

SEC. 7. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
