AN ACT AMENDING REPUBLIC ACT NO. 9090 OR AN ACT DECLARING FEBRUARY FIRST OF EVERY YEAR AS "JOSE MARIA C. PANGANIBAN DAY" AND A SPECIAL WORKING HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF CAMARINES NORTE

Section 1

SECTION 1. Section 2 of Republic Act No. 9090 is hereby amended:

"SEC. 2. In recognition of Jose Maria C. Panganiban's sacrifices and his fight for humanitarian reforms for his beloved country, and for placing him among the heroes and great men whose death or birth anniversaries are given appropriate recognition and honor by the way of declaring their respective date of death or date of birth as a special working public holiday, it is hereby declared that February 1st of every year as 'Jose Maria C. Panganiban Day' and a special working public holiday in the Province of Camarines Norte. Upon proclamation of the President, February 1 of every year shall be a special nonworking holiday in the Province of Camarines Norte as 'Jose Maria C. Panganiban Day."

Section 2

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
