AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY OF THE WAO DISTRICT HOSPITAL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF WAO, PROVINCE OF LANAO DEL SUR, FROM FIFTY (50) TO ONE HUNDRED (100) BEDS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1

SECTION 1. The authorized bed capacity of the Wao District Hospital in the Municipality of Wao, Province of Lanao del Sur, is hereby increased from fifty (50) to one hundred (100) beds. Any future increase in the bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital development plan that shall be prepared by the Chief of Hospital of the Wao District Hospital, and submitted to the Bangsamoro Autonomous in Muslim Mindanao - Ministry of Health.

Section 2

SEC. 2. The existing professional and healthcare services and facilities of the Wao District Hospital are hereby upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity as mentioned in Section 1 hereof.

Section 3

SEC. 3. The existing workforce of the Wao District Hospital, which includes doctors, nurses, and support personnel, shall be increased correspondingly.

Section 4

SEC. 4. The Bangsamoro Autonomous Government shall provide the necessary funds to cover the maintenance and other operating expenses of the Wao District Hospital. It shall also appropriate funds for the additional human resource complement to support the increase in bed capacity and the corresponding upgrading of its service facilities and professional healthcare services.

Section 5

SEC. 5. The Secretary of Health shall include in the Department's subsidy program, support for the capital outlay requirements of the Wao District Hospital.

Section 6

SEC. 6. If any provision of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts of provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 7

SEC. 7. All laws, decrees, executive orders, issuances, and rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed or amended accordingly.

Section 8

SEC. 8. This Act shall take effect after fifteen (15) days following the completion of its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.
