AN ACT CREATING THE POSITION OF SUB-PROVINCIAL ASSESSOR FOR THE SUB-PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR.

Section 1

SECTION 1. Act Numbered Thirty-one hundred forty-three, as amended by Republic Act Numbered Twelve hundred sixty-four, is further amended by inserting after section five-A thereof a new section which shall read as follows:

"SEC. 5-B. The sub-province shall have a sub-provincial assessor who, under the direction and supervision of the provincial assessor of Negros Oriental, shall perform the duties of assessor for the sub-province. The sub-provincial assessor shall be appointed by the President of the Philippines with the consent of the Commission on Appointments and shall receive a compensation of three thousand six hundred pesos per annum.

"Upon the appointment of the sub-provincial assessor, all assessment records for the sub-province shall be transferred to the office of the said sub-provincial assessor but official copies thereof shall likewise be kept at the office of the provincial assessor."

Section 2

SEC. 2. The title of the said Act, as amended, is further amended to read as follows:

"An Act to provide for the election and appointment of certain officials for the Sub-province of Siquijor."

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
