AN ACT TO CONVERT ILOCOS SUR PROVINCIAL HIGH SCHOOL INTO A NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, TO BE KNOWN AS ILOCOS SUR NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL, AND TO AUTHORIZE THE APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS THEREFOR.

Section 1

SECTION 1. The IIocos Sur Provincial High School located at Vigan, IIocos Sur, is hereby converted into a national high school, hereinafter to be known as Ilocos Sur National High School.

Section 2

SEC. 2. Upon the organization of IIocos Sur National High School all assets, liabilities, personnel, equipment and records of IIocos Sur Provincial High School shall stand transferred to IIocos Sur National High School.

Section 3

SEC. 3. The Secretary of Education is hereby empowered to promulgate such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act, including the power to reorganize the school, revise its curriculum and provide for its supervision.

Section 4

SEC. 4. The sum of one hundred thousand pesos is hereby authorized to be appropriated out of any funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the operation and maintenance of the said school for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-four-sixty-five. Thereafter, the necessary sum for the operation of the said school shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 5

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
