SECTION 1. Any provision of law, executive order, or parts thereof to the contrary notwithstanding, all officers and enlisted men of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in the active status, shall each be entitled to a basic allowance for subsistence, the value of which shall not be less than three pesos and fifty centavos per day irrespective of their rank or grade.

AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THREE PESOS AND FIFTY CENTAVOS PER DAY SUBSISTENCE ALLOWANCE FOR OFFICERS AND ENLISTED MEN OF THE ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES IN THE ACTIVE STATUS.
SEC. 2. The sum of thirty-two million pesos or such other sum as may be necessary is hereby authorized to be appropriated from funds in the National Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the purposes of this Act, and thereafter, such sums as may be necessary to effect the provisions of this Act shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
