Section 1

SECTION 1. Section twenty-nine of Act Numbered Twenty-seven hundred and eleven, known as the Revised Administrative Code, as amended, is hereby further amended to read, as follows: "SEC. 29. Legal holidays.—Thursday and Friday of Holy Week, Christmas Day, and Sundays are legal religious holidays. "The other legal holidays are: The first of January, the first of May, the fourth of July, the thirtieth of November, the thirtieth of December, and the day appointed by law for the holding of a general election."

Section 2

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, October 17, 1946.
