Section 1

SECTION 1. The provisions of the Revised Charter of Quezon City, as amended, to the contrary notwithstanding the following officials of Quezon City shall receive from the funds of the city their annual compensation as fixed hereunder: City Mayor P36,000.00 Vice Mayor 32,000.00 City Councilors, each at 26,000.00 City Judges, each at 22,000.00 City Fiscal 23,000.00 City Clerk of Court 20,000.00 Secretary to the Mayor 23,000.00 Assistant Secretary to the Mayor 20,000.00 City Secretary 23,000.00 Assistant City Secretary 20,000.00 City Auditor 23,000.00 Assistant City Auditor 20,000.00 City Treasurer 23,000.00 Assistant City Treasurer 20,000.00 City Engineer 23,000.00 Assistant City Engineer 20,000.00 City Architect 20,000.00 Assistant City Superintendent of Schools for Secondary Schools 20,000.00 Assistant City Superintendent of Schools for Elementary Schools 20,000.00 City Superintendent of Library 20,000.00 City Health Officer 23,000.00 Assistant City Health Officer 20,000.00 Chief of Police 23,000.00 Deputy Chief of Police 20,000.00 City Assessor 23,000.00 Assistant City Assessor 20,000.00 Chief, Fire Department 23,000.00 Deputy Chief, Fire Department 20,000.00 Executive-Legislative Liaison Officer 20,000.00 Assistant Executive-Legislative Liaison Officer 18,000.00

Section 2

SEC. 2. The officials hereinabove mentioned including the First Assistant City Fiscal shall receive commutable representation allowance to be determined by the City Council and as approved by the City Mayor, which shall in no case exceed their annual compensation: Provided, however, That in the case of the City Mayor and Vice Mayor, the City Council may, in its discretion, provide them in addition to their salaries and representation allowances, a commutable quarters allowance each in the amount of not more than twelve thousand pesos per annum.

Section 3

SEC. 3. The incumbent officials holding the positions affected by this Act shall receive their salary increases and allowances upon the effectivity thereof without the necessity of new appointments: Provided, however, That the last two positions mentioned in Section one hereof which are hereby created shall be considered as permanent and embraced in the classified service, the appointment thereto to be extended by the City Mayor, subject however to existing civil service law, rules and regulations.

Section 4

SEC. 4. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Enacted without Executive approval, June 21, 1969.
