SECTION 1. The barrios of Pines, Buenavista, Apil, Malindang, San Vicente Rajo, San Vicente Alto, Bolibol, Dullan Sur, Dullan Norte, Dolipos Bajo and Dolipos Alto in the Municipality of Oroquieta, Province of Misamis Occidental, are separated from said municipality, and constituted into a distinct and independent municipality, to be known as the Municipality of Pines, same province. The seat of government of the new municipality shall be in the present site of the barrio of Pines.

AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF PINES IN THE PROVINCE OF MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL
SEC. 2. The first mayor, vice-mayor, and six councilors of the new municipality shall be duly elected in the next general elections in nineteen hundred and seventy-five for local officials.
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect if in a plebiscite to be held simultaneously with the general elections in November, nineteen hundred seventy-one, a majority of the votes cast in said barrios favor the creation of said Municipality of Pines.
