Section 1

SECTION 1. Section nine of Republic Act Numbered Thirty-six hundred and one is hereby amended to read as follows:

"SEC. 9. Application of Civil Service Law and Rules. — All officials and employees of the National Irrigation Administration, except those whose positions may, upon recommendation of the Board of Directors, be declared by the President as policy determining, primarily confidential, or technical in nature, shall be subject to the Civil Service Law and Rules, but exempt from the provisions of laws, rules and regulations on wage and position classifications."

Section 2

SEC. 2. All laws, Acts, executive orders, administrative orders, rules and regulations or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are repealed or modified accordingly.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
