SECTION 1. The Philippine Legislature enacted on March 9,1917 Act No. 2683, which segregated Abra from Ilocos Sur and gave it full provincial status.

Section 2
SEC. 2. March nine of every year is hereby declared a special nonworking public holiday in the Province of Abra, to be known as"AryaAbraDay."
Section 3
SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved, February 23, 1994.
