SECTION 1. The Municipality of Lasam was declared an independent municipality by virtue of Republic Act No. 507 signed on June 13, 1950 by President Elpidio Quirino.

Section 2
Sec. 2. June 13 of every year is hereby declared as a special nonworking holiday in the Municipality of Lasam, Province of Cagayan, to be known as "Aldaw ti Lasam."
Section 3
Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Lapsed into law on August 8, 1994 without the President's signature, pursuant to Sec. 27(1), Article VI of the Constitution.
