AN ACT CONVERTING THE BARCELONA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BARANGAY POBLACION NORTE, MUNICIPALITY OF BARCELONA, PROVINCE OF SORSOGON INTO A COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE BARCELONA NATIONAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL (BNCHS) AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1

SECTION 1. The existing Barcelona National High School in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Municipality of Barcelona, Province of Sorsogon shall be converted into a comprehensive high school to be known as the Barcelona National Comprehensive High School (BNCHS).

Section 2

SEC. 2. All personnel, records, assets and liabilities of the Barcelona National High School shall be transferred to and absorbed by the Barcelona National Comprehensive High School (BNCHS).

Section 3

SEC. 3. The Department of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act.

Section 4

SEC. 4. The amount necessary for the initial implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Barcelona National High School. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the continuous operation and maintenance of the Barcelona National Comprehensive High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 5

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
