AN ACT CONVERTING THE BATANES POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE-UYUGAN HIGH SCHOOL ANNEX LOCATED IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF UYUGAN, PROVINCE OF BATANES, INTO AN INDEPENDENT HIGH SCHOOL TO BE KNOWN AS THE BATANES GENERAL COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1

SECTION 1. The Batanes Polytechnic College - Uyugan High School Annex located in the Municipality of Uyugan, Province of Batanes, is hereby converted into an independent national high school to be known as the Batanes General Comprehensive High School under the Department of Education, Culture and Sports.

Section 2

SEC. 2. All assets, personnel and properties such as buildings, sites and improvements thereof, including fund allocations for the Batanes Polytechnic College - Uyugan High School Annex are hereby transferred to the Batanes General Comprehensive High School.

Section 3

SEC. 3. The Secretary of Education, Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.

Section 4

SEC. 4. The amount necessary for the implementation of this Act shall be charged against the current year's appropriations of the Batanes Polytechnic College - Uyugan High School Annex. Thereafter, such sums as may be necessary for the operation and maintenance of the Batanes General Comprehensive High School shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Section 5

SEC. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
