SEC. 2. Section thirty of Act Numbered One hundred and thirty-six is hereby amended so as to read as follows: "SEC. 30. Reporter of decisions.—The Civil Governor, with the advice and consent of the Philippine Commission, shall appoint a reporter of the decisions of the Supreme Court, who shall receive a salary at the rate of lour thousand Philippine pesos per year payable quarterly, upon the certificate of a majority of the judges of the court that he has performed the duties of the office for the preceding quarter, and is entitled to the compensation herein provided. The reporter shall provide his own office room, clerical assistants translators, typewriters, and other aids out of the salary herein provided."
