Section 1

SECTION 1. The sum of thirty-five thousand dollars, in money of the United States, is hereby appropriated, out of the fund of three million dollars appropriated by the Congress of the United States for the relief of distress in the Philippine Islands, for expenditure under the direction of the Governor-General for such purposes and in such manner as may from time to time be authorized by resolutions of the. Philippine Commission and in carrying out the intent of the Congress of the United States in appropriating the fund aforesaid.
