Section 2

SEC. 2. Act Numbered One hundred and forty-three, enacted June twenty-first, nineteen hundred and one, is hereby amended by striking out the appropriation for the office of the Chief Statistician and inserting in lieu thereof the following words: "Office of the Chief Statistician: "For allowance in lieu of salary for the Chief Statistician for earned leave of absence and in lieu of traveling expenses for the Chief Statistician to San Francisco, three hundred and twenty-one dollars and fifty-seven cents."
