SEC. 28. Corrupt practices.—No person, in order to aid or promote his own election as a candidate for public office, shall promise, directly or indirectly, to secure or assist in securing the appointment, nomination, or election of any other person to a public position or employment or to any position of honor, trust or emolument. No person shall pay any money in the name of any candidate, falsely representing that he is doing so at the request, of the candidate. No person shall solicit, demand, ask, or invite from any person who is a candidate for any election, any payment of money or valuable thing or promise of payment of money or valuable thing to be nsed in such election.
