SEC. 2. Section eight of said Act is hereby amended to read as follows: "SEC. 8. All number plates shall be of such color, size, Number plates. and design as may be selected and determined by the Director of Public Works and shall contain in Arabic numerals of a length of not less, than one decimeter and each stroke of which shall be not less than one centimeter in thickness, the number assigned by the Director of Public Works: Provided, That the Director of Public Works may issue to motor vehicles having three wheels or less a number plate having Arabic numerals of a length not less than five centimeters and a thickness not less than one centimeter."
