Act No. 260 Section 1

Section 1

SECTION 1. All salaries and wages to be paid to officers and employees in the civil service of these islands, insular, provincial, or municipal, shall hereafter be paid in money of the United States or in local currency, as shall be provided in the Act making appropriation for such payment. In case the appropriating authority shall order payment to be made in local currency, the ratio of local currency to money of the United States shall be that fixed for the quarter for which the appropriations are made, by proclamation of the Civil Governor at the beginning of the quarter.
