Section 1
SECTION 1. Sections three and nine of the Municipal Code are hereby amended as follows: (a) By adding at the close of section three of said Act the following words: "In the Province of Oriental Negros, the seats of the councilors of the first class, as divided by lot, shall for the year nineteen hundred and two be vacated on the first day of April, nineteen hundred and two, or when their successors are duly chosen and qualified." (b) By adding at the close of paragraph (a), section nine, of said Act the following words: "In the Province of Oriental Negros, the general municipal elections for nineteen hundred and two shall be held on Saturday, the first of March, nineteen hundred and two, and the councilors so elected shall enter upon their duties on the first of April following and hold office until the first Monday of January, nineteen hundred and four, or until their successors are duly elected and qualified."
