Duty to procure license.

Section 21

SEC. 21. Duty to procure license.—Except as otherwise specifically provided in this Act, no person shall operate any motor vehicle on the public highways without having procured a license for the current year, nor while such license is delinquent, invalid, suspended or revoked. The license or its duplicate in case of its loss shall be carried by the chauffeur at all times when operating a motor vehicle, and shall be shown to any peace officer or surrendered to any deputy of the Director of Public Works of request.
