(a) Tampering and joy riding.

Section 48

SEC. 48. (a) Tampering and joy riding.—No chauffeur or any other person shall operate, use, play, tamper, or interfere with a motor vehicle without the permission or proper authority of the owner. (b) Permitting unlicensed person to drive, etc.—No professional chauffeur shall permit any unlicensed person to drive the motor vehicle under his control, or permit a person, sitting beside him or in any other part of the car, to interfere with him in the operation of the motor vehicle, or allowing said person to take hold of the steering wheel, or in any other manner take part in the manipulation or control of the car.
