Section 6
SEC. 6. All provincial officers shall, before assuming office, take and subscribe the following oath or affirmation: "I ________________________________, having been ____________________ (appointed or elected as the "case may be) to the office of ______________________of the Province of ____________________________, do hereby solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will well and truly perform all the duties of said office; that I will faithfully account for all moneys coming into my hands as such officer; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Government of the United States; that I take this oath without any mental reservation whatsoever. So held me God." (In ease of affirmation the last four words shall be omitted). The oaths shall be filed in the office of the secretary of the province.
