SEC. 24. Appropriations.—The cost of the election shall be funded out of the appropriations of the Commission on Elections authorized for the purpose in Batas Pambansa Blg. 131. In case of deficiency, the appropriations therein provided may be augmented from the Special Activities Fund intended for special priority activities authorized in the current General Appropriations Act. Local governments may appropriate funds to defray the expenses of the Members of the Board of Election Tellers, Board of Canvassers, and the printing of election forms and procurement of other election paraphernalia.
