SEC. 174. Sessions.— (1) The sangguniang panlungsod shall fix the time and place for its regular sessions which shall be held once a week. Special sessions may be called by the city mayor when public interest so demands. (2) In case the volume of business so requires, a session, regular or special, may be adjourned from day to day until the business is completed. (3) The sessions of the sangguniang panlungsod shall be open to the public unless otherwise ordered by affirmative vote of a majority of its members. (4) The sangguniang panlungsod shall adopt its own rules of procedure, keep a record of its proceedings and for disorderly conduct during sessions, with the concurrence of two-thirds of all its members, reprimand, exclude from the session, or suspend for not more than sixty days an erring member.
